Epicurus was a greek philosopher who lived during 341BC - 270BC.
Epicurus is generally credited with first expounding the problem of evil, and it is sometimes called "the Epicurean paradox" or "the riddle of Epicurus."
Is god willing to prevent evil, but not able, then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing , then he is malevolent ("evil"). Is god both able and willing, then whence("from where") cometh ("comes") evil? If he is neither able nor willing, then why call him god?
